Vineyards

Our El Chequén estate has 95 hectares of vineyards. The first vines were planted in 2000, ungrafted and without any vine training system, which better enables them to express the character of their terroir. The irrigation is 100% automated, and the vines are oriented in a N–S direction.

The varieties are Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenere, Malbec, Syrah, Merlot, Gewürztraminer, Viognier, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc.

Terroir Proyect

Bisquertt’s terroir Project is aimed at finding the best sectors in El Chequén to produce Premium and Ultra Premium wines. More than 100 trial pits were dug or soil profiles taken, together with the map of electric conductivity. Project done with the support of consultant Pedro Parra, one of the most recognized experts in the world.

The result: Polygons were established with no more than 5,000 M2 within the most qualitative blocks, with the aim of producing wines with even greater terroir expression and increased precision during the winemaking process.
